Plot Summary[]

Gone Awol[]

  • Shaka is introduced and is revealed to be on Nassau with the intent of stealing one of Ford Henrietta's engines. Realizing that she had already put it on the ship, he steals the entire ship.
  • Later in the day, Haint Esmeray arrives to Ford's Ship Shop to collect her ship under an alias, Belle Anna.
  • Henrietta settles the deal and begins walking with Esmeray to collect her payment from her ship. However, due to Shaka's earlier actions, the ship is no longer at the port.
  • While initially confused on whether Henrietta had left the ship here, it is deduced that the ship was stolen by the broken string and anchor. Esmeray, who had traveled to her shop in her ghost-like form, poofs away to find her tangible body, leaving Henrietta alone.

Engineering Relations[]

  • The scene shifts and Wayland arrives on Nassau on the docks of Oqia in search for Henrietta, having heard from sources that she was running a shop on the fabled island paradise.
  • Jokingly he wishes for her to drop down in front of him, or to burst through a wall, to which she does to his surprise.
  • Though initially in a blind rage, believing Esmeray was simply trying to get out of compensating her, her demeanor changes when Wayland inquires if she is Henrietta.
  • After catching up slightly, Henrietta is reminded of her troubles and informs Wayland that Esmeray ran off after faking as if her ship was stolen. Noting that he spotted a ship at sea when he arrived, the two decide to go after it.
  • They arrive at the dock just in time, and Henrietta uses her Kika Kika no Mi to launch them onto the ship using the projectile engines at the bottom of her feet. The two encounter Shaka, instead of Esmeray.
  • A battle ensues, and amidst it, Henrietta is sent flying into the engine of the ship into the engine room.
  • Meanwhile, in the water, Armani awakens Kenbunshoku Haki, and escapes a Sea King. She regenerates her lost limbs and finds her belongings, and prepares for her rematch with Henrietta.

Chained Down[]

  • The engine begins going out of controlling, speeding the ship up rapidly. Henrietta flies back to the deck of the ship and continues assisting Wayland in his battle with Shaka.
  • Realizing that the ship is going to crash into a nearby island at this rate, Henrietta leaves Wayland to battle Shaka alone, and rushes to slow it down.
  • Wayland and Shaka's battle becomes more intense, and Shaka, in desperation, rips the ship apart so that it can sink.

Uninvited Guest[]

  • As Henrietta arrives to the engine room, she is confronted by Omen Armani, a marine admits that she is here for Wayland.
  • Feigning ignorance, Henrietta claims to not know Wayland, and attempts to resume repairing the ship.
  • Armani begins destroying the ship, intent on using her frogfolk physiology to escape, while determining that Henrietta was incapable of swimming simultaneously.
  • Henrietta engages Armani and overwhelms her, defeating her, albeit destroying the remainder of the ship in the process. She flies back to the surface to re-assist Wayland.

Surpassing Limits[]

  • As she returns, the sea king erupts from the sea and threatens them. Surpassing his limits, Wayland slices the sea monster in half, to Henrietta's amusement.
  • He uses Geppo to catch up to her in the sky and remarks that he lost Shaka. However, Henrietta reveals that she had been tracking him the entire time.
  • Using her pistons, she launches Wayland in his direction, and he slices through him, killing the mercenary.
  • Following Shaka's defeat, Wayland and Henrietta begin flying off in the distance, noting that Esmeray had drowned after being unable to locate her body.
