"Emerald Kingfisher" Ascanio Oskar (アスカニオ オスカー Asukanio Osukaa) is a Cyborg produced by World Noble scientists, who denounced his creators to become a well renowned criminal and Revolutionary of the Grand Line. Oskar's meteoric rise to infamy after his appearance among the members of the criminal underworld is well documented - the man's ego is second to none, and as such he publishes autobiographies every few years. These books are mostly accurate, although its widely known that Oskar takes great artistic license with the tales so as to paint himself in the most positive light possible. It is these books that have allowed Oskar to generate such a high level of interest amongst his fellow criminals, despite being relatively new to the scene, as they act as advertisements for his services.
Additionally, Oskar uses his status to act as a Broker in his spare time. While he has not specialised in one particular product so far, it can be assumed than anything with the Ascanio seal of approval is high quality. Oskar's formidable and delicately crafted reputation serves as the point of the spear in many negotiations, and he is also regularly used as a mediator in agreements that have reached breaking point.

Dark Justice[]
While Oskar was a Marine subject, he had a sense of Absolute Justice instilled into him. Over the years, this developed into what Oskar refers to as Dark Justice. Dark Justice is a doctrine that believes in the eradication of the concept of Absolute Justice, due to the perceived corruption and immorality of followers of such an ideal. While Oskar himself is aware of the fact that he is performing actions that are neither "good" nor "moral", he strongly believes that in order for those who are truly good to reign over the planet, the dogma of Absolute Justice must be exterminated. As such, he is able to justify these atrocities to himself, certain that his actions are for the greater good.
Despite this, Oskar is aware of his hypocrisy. Unlike followers of Absolute Justice, who believe their ends justify the means, Oskar is well aware of the fact that he commits evil acts; despite this, he believes that his work will allow the future of the planet to be better. Oskar's Dark Justice is primarily expressed towards high-ranking marines, although the ease with which these are replaced makes this an inefficient use of his time. A better target of his idealism is the Celestial Dragons, and fortunately these people are often the target of assassination jobs within the underworld, allowing Oskar to kill two birds with one stone. In fact, it is his success at these missions that lead to him being referred to as the Kingfisher (かわせみ Kawasemi?).
Appearance[]
A general theme that Oskar has to his appearance is that of the cross. He wears a black blazer and matching pants, with a grey shirt underneath. These items are couple with a cross shaped tie, and a pair of crosses pinned to the collar of his shirt. Oskar has naturally maroon hair which falls to his shoulders, and has bright blue eyes that stand out when contrasted against his hair. Due to the intense heat in lots of the islands Oskar visits, he can often be seen with his jacket slung over his shoulder rather than worn in the typical fashion. This is both his business and combat outfit, and but due to its style is used for formal scenarios as well. As such, Oskar is rarely seen wearing anything else.
Despite the multitude of options his standard dress provides him, Oskar does also have other clothes. For example, when at home he typically wears a pair of olive cargo pants, alongside a plain white tee, a grey jacket, and black and red combat boots. In this outfit, he ties his hair up to keep it out of his face, although many strands fall loose. This outfit is completed by a plain golden chain, worn around his neck.
