"Crimson Blade" Delano (デラノ Derano) is a Pirate sailing under the Notch Pirates as one of the Solar Eclipses, as well as a former member of the Four Epochs, overseeing the Wraith Division at the time.[1] Delano is known for his usual get-rich-quick schemes, originally being the main reason he was forced to move from island to island instead of his status as a wanted criminal.

Swordsmanship[]

Delano is an extremely skilled swordsman, being able to survive an encounter against the Strongest Swordsman in The World, Bimore O. Jack.[2] Delano was also not just capable of scattering Enkiru Dario's lightning blast, but also unleashing an attack concentrated enough that it pushed back the massive size of Dario's Beast Form directly afterwards. Delano's reflexes with his swordsmanship also allowed him to divert five of Dario's sword slashes simultaneously.

Delano's skill and dedication to the art of swordsmanship has led him to develop his own unique style, Oniki-ryu (鬼意気 Oniki-ryu?, lit. "Demon Heart Style"). In Delano's words, this style revolves around the idea of crushing the heart of the opposition while simultaneously invigorating your own.

"Solar Globe"): This technique is initiated by Delano swirling fire and heat, be it pre-existing or from his Flames of Fury, around himself in a revolving dome of flames and heat.[3] This technique serves primarily as a defensive technique, however Delano is also capable of using the flames that make up the dome for offensive attacks.[4] The defensive power of this technique is extremely impressive, being able to survive a dual attack from Dario of the Holiday Pirates.[3] Its implied this ability can absorb the energy from attacks that strike it in order to empower its offensive capabilities.[5]
"Stigma")
"Cycle of Rejection")
"Midsummer Romance")
"All is Fire")

Flames of Fury[]

Like all Ifrit Descendants, Delano is capable of unleashing the hellish Flames of Fury. Delano not only possesses immense control over these flames, but he also boasts extraordinary power as well. Delano demonstrated such power and control while using the ability to intimidate the Holiday Pirates, the flames tamed enough to not burn away his clothing while also being of such magnitude that the tips gained a blue hue.[6]

Scientific Prowess[]

In relation to his many get-rich-quick schemes, Delano develops all types of inventions and machinery to try to sell off to make a quick buck. Tragically, however, none of his inventions have been shown in action and often appear dingy or unusable as none of his schemes really get anywhere other than having him kicked off of islands by the citizens. Nevertheless, there are a few gadgets that Delano has developed and advertised.

  • Unnamed Sleep Aid: A metallic orb that supposedly releases a mist that helps people sleep. Delano claims that it can refill itself, rendering it cheaper than the lifetime expense of purchasing herbs to help one sleep. Advertised at Sheepston, this invention is never seen in use.
  • Miner-matic: Going by its name and the fact it was advertised at Baluar, one can only assume the device's functions are related to mining. However, other than its name, nothing is known about the invention.
