Overall Strength[]

Frogfolk are a species that possess very varied combat strength. Unlike Minks, they are not a species that have natural inclinations towards combat. They appear to be naturally inclined to scavenging and surviving in a wide variety of different climates and lifestyles. They can be terrestrial like Minks, or aquatic like Fishmen depending on their species. Their size and physical strength can vary depending on their birth parents, but generally speaking, they possess the same level of base physical prowess as a human.

The most distinctive aspect about Frogfolk are their movement capabilities, which render them considerably faster than humans. Those who are descended from frog or toad species possess very powerful legs and can travel very far distances easily. In addition, they are capable of surviving in aquatic environments almost as optimally as Fishmen can, albeit only for limited periods of time.

Although individual Frogfolk have varying biological abilities, such as poison secretion, they all possess a single ability in common: Ignis (イグニス, Igunisu). Ignis is a unique biological ability held by Frogfolk that allows them to produce and manipulate fire from all across their body. Known only to the Frogfolk, this ability is catalyzed by a unique organ they have produced in order to absorb ambient heat and store it in their body, for they are cold-blooded creatures that do not naturally heat their bodies. Excess heat stored within this organ can be released in the form of flames through an ignition process that occurs near the surface of their bodies, enabling them to — ironically — almost take the visage of mythical dragons, though they are anything but. Although Ignis does not have a vast scope to its area, it can be used offensively, defensively and for supplementary purposes.

Trivia[]

  • All Axolotl Frogfolk, and other species that are noted to have enhanced regenerative abilities, if created from now (5th April 2024), will not have access to enhanced regeneration.
