"Magu" comes from "maguma" (マグマ,"maguma"?), the Japanese word for and pronunciation of "magma" in English.
In the Viz Manga, it is called the Mag-Mag Fruit, "mag" standing for "magma".
Appearance[]
The Magu Magu no Mi is a round, dark red fruit composed of thick, knobby segments. Within each of this small segments, there is an orange swirling pattern, reminiscent to flowing lava. Much like most Devil Fruits, it has a swirling orange stem at its top. Additionally, it is said that sparks emanate from the fruit, though this seems to be part of its aesthetic effect entirely. It resembles a Sugar-apple.
Strengths & Weaknesses[]
The main strength of this Devil Fruit is that it allows the user to produce magma to attack their opponents with. The intense heat can vaporize an iceberg instantly and boil the seawater that the magma lands in.
As a Logia, it can let physical attacks, such as punches and slashes, harmlessly pass through the user unless they are imbued with Busoshoku Haki. Other ways the user can be hurt are if they are touching Seastone, being caught off guard (assuming they not trained to transform by reflex), and being attacked by the fruit's elemental weakness (though none have been revealed so far). Weapons, such as swords, were also shown to melt after coming into contact with him.

Kyosha (強射,Kyōsha?, literally meaning "Fierce Shoot"): .[1]

Bukkake (打っ火塊,Bukkake?, literally meaning "Striking Fiery Clumps"):
Blazing Comet Sky (燃空彗星 Nenkū Suisei): Enma creates a swarm of meteors out of magma that bombard the battlefield with hot magma. Enma can combine this with his Haki to the meteors a lot more dangerous, creating extremely large explosions.
Volcanic Geyser (噴火間欠泉 Funka Kanketsusen): Enma sends a stream of lava through the earth, that erupts throughout the ground. Enma can also send himself into the magma, to erupt from the ground in a surprise attack.
Erupting Fist (噴拳 Fuken): Enma turns his fist into molten magma, and then uses it to attack his opponent. He pull a lot of magma into a large magma fist, that can be fired off.
Obsidian Erupting Fist (黒曜石噴拳 Kokuyōseki Fuken): The same technique as Erupting Fist, but covered in Busoshoku Haki that increases the damage potential, and allows him to use it with the Erupting Fist.
Some years prior to the current time, Lieselotte, the Queen of Momoiro Island, consumed the Magu Magu no Mi, becomings its most prominent user since the late Fleet Admiral, Sakazuki. After his fight with Vice Admiral Sparrow Raizen, where the Okama was imprisoned, he was shortly executed, returning the fruit to circulation.
Following the assault on the Holy Land of Mary Geoise by the Ignition Pirates, Brennan now renowned as "Molten Hands" is believed to be captured and ultimately killed, once again leading to the fruit reappearing in the world.
