The Mink Tribe is one of the world's many races and one composed of animal humanoids, characterized for being furred mammals.
A large majority of the Mink reside at Zou, where they deem to be their main homeland. However, it is actually pretty common to find other Mink societies spread around the seas.
Appearance[]
Minks are humanoid creatures that take the appearance of fur-covered mammals. They come in a wide variety, as many as there are different furry mammals, from creatures as small as a squirrel to as large as a giraffe. Thickness of fur does not seem to influence which types of mammals a Mink can appear as, as long as their body is primarily covered in it. While females generally are more human in their appearance, the males often appear more bestial.

Biology[]
The species that a Mink will take after is not directly inherited from their parents. Some Minks will appear as the same species of a more distant relative. This is similar to Fish-Men, in that a Mink can give birth to any species of mammal, as long as its in their blood line. However, it is still more likely that a Mink will inherit the same animal species as their parents.

Sub-Species[]
Overall Abilities[]
Mink are potent fighters from infancy to old age, usually retaining their peak strength for many years. Some of them focus on agility and leg strength, while others are more durable and firmer.
Physiology[]
It is rumored that Mink live longer than humans. However long is unknown.
Further rumors imply that they possess a strong metabolism and, thus, have a recovery rate above the average human's.
Minks will often take on the abilities of whatever animal they appear as, similarly to Fish-Men. This can include strong claws for felines, incredible speed for rabbits, and razor-sharp teeth for many carnivorous species.
Stealth[]
Natural hunters, Mink hold great affinity towards the art of stealth. This holds true to individuals focused on strength and power, though, they are less specialized than the agile ones.

Electro[]
- Main article: Electro
One of the Mink's main traits and a bodily ability that only they have is the power of Electro (エレクトロ, Erekutoro?), manifested as a green-blue electricity from their bodies. It is unknown how exactly they access it, but, many scientists theorize that it has to do with the relation between their physiology and the presence of fur.
By imbuing parts of or their whole body with Electro, Mink can shock, paralyze, and do extra damage with their attacks and techniques. More experienced users can extend these discharges into their weapons and items, or even create more elaborated techniques.
It is unknown how much of Electro Mink can produce, although, it is known that it is not limitless.
Sulong[]
- Main article: Sulong
Sulong (
When transformed, a Mink looks more beastly in physical appearance as well. Their fur and hair grow significantly thicker and larger, then, their eyes acquire dark sclera and slit pupils, meanwhile, their bodies become more well endowed and claws grow sharper. Finally, they give out an ethereal silhouette due to the greater presence of Electro.
Many of the Mink's traits reach their peak power at "Sulong". Most notably, their strength, agility, and Electro increase in potency many times. Leaping reaches a point that transformed Mink take on a form of semi-flight, hovering over large distances and even water. Their Electro is so much stronger now that it bursts out in many discharges while they transform.
For the transformation to be completed, long eye contact with the Moon must be done, something that may leave the Mink with an open guard. This also allows for the process to be interrupted.
Since constant usage of Sulong drains one's stamina, by losing their minds, they exhaust themselves until death. The only way to stop that is to block the Mink's vision off the Moon, which may prove troublesome given their augmented power.

Interspecies Relationships[]
Mink think of Humans not as what they are, but as Lesser Mink (
Like many other races, Mink are sold out and valued at the Market as slaves. Their prices range from 700,000 and up. Some are greatly sought out because of their beautiful furs, which can be shaved off to be used to produce clothing.
Albeit many Humans treat them as slaves and with racism, Mink do not inherently hate them.
A cadre of snow leopard Minks immigrated to the Drake Empire some time ago, living on the island of Diavol. Due to their strength and loyalty, they have been well-regarded by the citizenry, especially the emperor, for generations. Many of these snow leopard Minks are often high-ranking officials in the Drake Empire's military, such as Timber, who is the vice-captain of the Drake Empire's Royal Guard, and his older sister Lumber, who is the commander of Diavol's militia.

Culture[]
Above all else in their identities, Mink value their "fur" the most, referring to it by the same name of their tribe, "their Mink".
Mink raised in traditional Mink culture, or created at Zou, have certain speech patterns, adding suffixes to pronouns. Males use "-gara" and females use "-teia", in example, "you-gara" or "Fred-gara".
The Tribe refuses to eat the meat of furred animals.
Trivia[]
- In real life, Mink is a term that was used to refer to animals bred in farms, so that their furs could be used.[1]
- Certain Humans in the world of One Piece possess characteristics similar to Mink. Some theorize this is due to mixed ancestry.
- The speculation on how Electro is possible is purely Fan-based, with many users noting the relation between static electricity, friction, and fur.[2]
- The Fanon is usually divided in regards to how much Mink Hybrids can access Electro and Sulong. Some do not have it at all, while others employ it to some extent.
