The Manual of Style is the official guideline and standard for writing, formatting, and designing articles on the One-Piece Roleplaying fandom. By reading and referencing this, all users will be able to distinguish on what content is allowed on the site, and what isn’t. The Manual of Style is subject to change, and therefore it is important to revisit it at least bi-yearly to ensure that you are up to date with our policies and procedures.
Content
Fandom welcomes communities on almost any topic, large or small, popular or obscure, modern of historical, funny or serious. However, content must not contain any hate, libel, pornographic content, or copyright infringement. We understand that One Piece is a shonen that has varying underlaying themes, and we would love users to explore all of them. We do not restrict what subjects may be addressed, and mature content is indeed allowed on One Piece Roleplaying fandom. Because we are a singular, continuously operating universe, and a roleplaying environment, we do have restrictions on contents for the purpose of fairness and balance within our universe. Below, we will highlight the restrictions:
Devil Fruits
On One Piece Roleplaying fandom, all fruit types are allowed. However, the rules below are established for balancing purposes:
- Water based devil fruits are not allowed.
- No character may consume a second fruit, even if the first or second fruit is artificial.
- No Devil Fruit with the ability to nullify Devil Fruit Powers, such as the Yami Yami no Mi, are allowed.
- Toki Toki no Mi is not allowed because users are not allowed to roleplay in the future.
Mythical Zoans
Mythical Zoans have the potential to be extremely unbalanced if appropriate measures are not put into place to ensure that they are well within the context of constraints supplied by the canon material. Mythical Zoans will be allotted two powers outside of their transformational abilities, one being a physiological ability which is related to their physiology, and the other being a mythical power.
To explain what are those "mythical powers" and "physiological powers":
- The Uo Uo no Mi, Model: Seiryu allows its user to turn into a dragon whose mythical ability is breathing different elements, which they can also use in other ways. On top of that, as an eastern dragon, they are able to create "Flame Clouds" in order to fly, something that can be used to make other things "fly" as well.
- These two abilities can both count as separate powers, however, what is notable about the clouds is that they are a physiological ability. A fact that can be seen with Kaido beginning to tire out from sustaining Onigashima, whereas Kozuki Momonosuke (who essentially has the same fruit) is barely able to hold out Onigashima with his own clouds.
- Effectively, your Mythical Zoan can have "more" than a single power, but this other power must be further tied to their physical ability.
Artificial Devil Fruits
Unlike Oda who can limit his devil fruits within his story, we cannot due to the influx of users and our commitment to freedom of expression and ideas. While there can be only one fruit, we have allowed a variety of variations. Variations are permitted if the new fruit has a different name and is different enough from the original (let’s use the kilo kilo no mi, and the ton ton mi as an example), but if the abilities are identical and so are the techniques then this will not be permitted.
To alleviate this dilemma, we have created fanon versions of Artificial Fruits that are available for use; these fruits grant abilities similar to original devil fruit powers, yet with conditions that make the expression of the abilities different or provide drawbacks. Copies of another user’s fruit requires permission, unless they are canon fruits.
Artificial Paramecia
- JOKER is an artificial paramecia that attempts to copy paramecia abilities. While a majority of the time, the user wounds up with just an enhanced physique, there is a small percentage of being granted a devil fruit ability. These devil fruits rely on resources within the human body and therefore are not limitless like most devil fruits and places strain on the systems that it draw from.
- Green Blood is the perfected version of artificial paramecia accessible only to pacifista, seraphim, or agents of the World Government due to the technology being perfected there.
Artificial Zoan
- SMILE are artificial zoans that tend to transform a user’s body permanently into an animal, giving them abilities of animals but not allowing them the ability to transform.
- FABLE are artificial mythical zoans that are incomplete variations. Often, consumers can either possess the transformational capabilities of the animal or the mythical ability, but never both. Additionally, inanimate objects cannot consume FABLEs.
- LORE are the perfected version of Mythical Zoan copies that are only accessible to high-ranking world government officials.
Artificial Logia
- ACE are non-perfected artificial logia.
Canon Devil Fruits
There are no restrictions on canon fruits. However, users will only be awarded three canon fruits due to their limited availability. Fruits can be traded among users, but any debuted use of the fruits must result in the current user’s death. There will be no retconning allowed.
In the case that a user is inactive, and has held their fruit, it can be stripped away by undergoing a review from the administration. However, this will be a case-by-case basis. We encourage all users to create their own fruits, and to avoid canon devil fruits as much as possible.
