SMILE is an "Artificial Devil Fruit" (人造悪魔の実, Jinzō Akuma no Mi?) based on the Zoan Devil Fruits and created through a substance known as SAD. They were first produced many decades ago and have gone a long time in ceased production.
Unlike standard Devil Fruits, a SMILE can grant an already existing power.
Appearance[]
All SMILE share the same appearance, that of an apple-shaped fruit with a deep red color and a normal stem. Set apart from normal Devil Fruits, the SMILEs do not possess their trademark swirly pattern, instead they are covered in randomly placed spots, which are double-layered and colored in yellow tones.
