Sparrow D. Ahemed is an article written by Candy King Wonder!.
You think that I'm gonna let that slide...? You insult me....my hair, AND MY OCCUPATION?! Now I really gotta hand it to ya', you've got balls but honestly, not even those'll be enough when I'm finished with you.

—Ahemed to Spen before raising him into the air.

Sparrow D. Ahemed[1] who formerly went under the name Rouge D. Ro[2] and nicknamed "The Dancing Demon" is a former rookie Pirate from the East Blue and the son of Sparrow D. Jack, a legendary Pirate who went missing and was presumed dead after an assault on his ship by a Marine Buster Call and Rouge D. Ariyia. He was forced to take up a new name by his mother, not wanting her son to go down the same way his father did but in the end accepted his dream to become a Pirate. He is the former captain of the five-man crew, the Ozelia Pirates and was the strongest out of the now disbanded crew.

Ahemed's urge to discover the truth behind his father is represented in his ambition to sail the seas and one day discover the truth of his father's fate, having a feeling that he's not truly dead. Ahemed's main goal besides finding out what happened to his father is a big one, hoping to become one of the Supernova and eventually become one of the Four Emperors with his own empire.

Ahemed's birth name is known to only him and his mother, which was promised to stay between them as his mother didn't want him to go up in a life to be hunted. This turned out to be quite ironic as she ended up approving and even paying for his first ship to set off his journey into piracy, just wanting her son to be happy in what he does. Ahemed's mother is his guiding source in life, always thinking of her in battle and how he can't lose and never see her again which happens to be one of his biggest fears. His name was revealed to also be known by his older brother and now by association, about 50 prisoners aboard the Cipher Pol ship.

Ahemed is the current owner of the Guri Guri no Mi, a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit which makes him into a Glitched Human. As a rookie, Ahemed currently has a bounty of 100,000,000, sailing the New World in hopes of reaching incredible fame. He had abandoned this dream after his brother inducts him into his new unnamed Revolutionary group but recently has taken back up his mantle as a Pirate captain.

He hopes to find his father's treasure on Greed Island, dubbed the Geonias.

Appearance[]

Physical Features(Pre Witch's Reversal)[]

Ahemed's appearance after going under a witch trial to change his appearance is a brown-skinned young man of average height and has a muscular, toned build. He has light-purple hair that is styled in an afro, magenta eyes that are narrowed when in battle, and thin and slitted black eyebrows. He is also considered to be extremely handsome due to his calm and cool demeanor which attracts female attention. He has very light stubble as well, something that he's let just keep growing for the fun of it.

Clothing(Pre Witch's Reversal)[]

Ahemed had multiple outfits but his main one consisted of a black jacket with a golden button on it, gray jeans, and a pair of light-colored boots.

Physical Features(Post Witch's Reversal)[]

Ahemed in reality has blonde hair that he wears with a ponytail to the back and often with bangs that hang over his face and frame it and he prefers to leave a strand sticking up awkwardly. He has a very slim but well-muscled build and has wide brown eyes. He has a young looking face despite his age.

Clothing(Post Witch's Reversal)[]

Ahemed wears a long red cloak with a symbol of an unknown meaning on the back over a black shirt that is buttoned up usually with white buttons, a white outline, and a collar. He wears baggy black pants that slightly droop just over his dark colored boots and sports a pair of white gloves.

Personality[]

As mentioned before, Ahemed is a very calm and collected person and usually has a mellow and chill vibe to him. He's pretty approachable usually unless he's in one of his bad moods which isn't often, only popping up after he either loses a battle or is overly stressed. His relaxed aura usually irritates his opponents, often making them think he's not actually taking them seriously which always gets him in trouble.

Ahemed is very impatient, a trait that is said by his mother that he gained from his father. His inability to stay patient for long periods of time makes him incredibly irritating when sailing to island to island as he breaks character and begins to act like a child, much to his crew-mates's dismay. He also didn't enjoy Haki training at all, finding it to be boring and repetitive to him.

When Ahemed needs to be, he is an incredible leader. His leadership skills are so amazing that he could probably lead an entire fleet into war with just his war-cry, something that makes him an incredible captain. His leadership attracted four members to his crew while in Paradise and it led them to go with him all the way to the Grand Line, where they all are fighting to achieve their individual dreams and start an incredible empire.

As all people do, Ahemed has a breaking point. His rage is only unleashed if he sees something so tragic that could make him go insane. The only things that can make him enter this state of rage is the injury of one of his crew mates or if his mother is even threatened. His incredible rage makes him almost unstoppable as he cares about nothing besides the well-being of his friends and only family in that moment.

Ahemed has a goofy side to him, always joking and playing with his crew and loves to make them laugh. He cares deeply for his friends and their happiness, never wanting them to leave him and wants to stay with them until they reach the end of the world. He dreams of getting old and retiring with his friends as a Yonko, sitting on a beach and drinking sake until they all pass out.

Relationships[]

Family[]

Rouge D. Ariyia[]

Ariyia is Ahemed's mother and his main source of determination. She loves her son very much and only wants the best for him, disliking anything and anyone who opposes him and has extreme faith in her son's ability to fight his way out of anything. She cares for him to the point where even if she was held at gunpoint to figure out her son's whereabouts, she still wouldn't sell him out.

Ozelia Pirates[]

Beti Benjamin[]

Benjamin is Ahemed's first mate and best friend, being his main partner when battling as a duo. The two has mutual trust and faith in each other with Benjamin being extremely loyal towards Ahemed and will do whatever he needs to do to help him achieve his dreams. Benjamin will lay his life on the line to protect Ahemed and will put himself in battle with anyone if it means defending the pride of Ahemed's and the Ozelia Pirates' name. The two also have nicknames for each other, Benjamin being Benny and "Ro" being Ro-Ro.

Arnia Asteria[]

Asteria is Ahemed's navigator and one of his most trusted friends. He has incredible trust in her navigating ability and trusts her to always have his and the crew's back due to her extreme loyalty and moral code. He also has a sort of romantic bond to her and when seeing her in danger, he'll jeopardize his role in the battle to protect her.

Cain Arnold[]

Arnold is Ahemed's cook and another one of his most trusted friends even though they both find each other to be irritating. Ahemed thinks Arnold is stuck-up while Arnold believes Ahemed is a hooligan who's stuck in his ways. These two often bicker, enjoying bothering each other but have incredible trust in each other's abilities with Arnold's fighting ability being the most trusted outside of Benjamin's.

Histeria Nein[]

Nein is Ahemed's fifth crewmate and his shipwright of the crew. Nein and Ahemed are pretty close, both always having deep conversations when Benjamin is either asleep or doesn't want to talk.

Tori Pirates[]

Ainxis[]

Ahemed and Ainxis share a rivalry like no other, competing for a placement as one of the four Yonko and has a mutual goal to earn a Greatest in the World title. Currently, Ainxis is winning against Ahemed in terms of their long-running battle as Ahemed has only reached a bounty of 40,000,000 and hasn't even gained as much recognition from the Government as Ainxis has.

History[]

As a child, Ahemed was born while his father was sailing to the country of Alabasta on April 1st, 1566. As a baby, he was exposed to the pirate lifestyle and held his first gun at the age of 8 years old, being taught how to shoot it by his father. This was frowned upon by Ahemed's mother as she would steal a ship from the docks of the current island they were on and would sail for weeks before reaching the East Blue where should would collapse in exhaustion. This is where Ahemed's incredible potential was shown as he carried his mother to a doctor at only 8 years old, getting her to them before it got worse for her. His mother and him would find a home in the East Blue in Hairon Town, a town for wives of Pirates and he would grow up alongside many women and children. He would eat his Devil Fruit which was given to him by a shady man who wandered around his town, unbeknownst to his mother who ended up almost being a victim of his power. His mother would teach him how to use his newly gained fruit powers and would mold him into a strong child by constantly forcing him to do workouts to get him in shape.

At eleven, Ahemed decided to ask his mother where his father was with her response being, "I don't know, nor do I care." which would be something that surprised Ahemed. This statement by his mother led to him doing more digging and he would find out from a neighbor that he father was presumed dead in a Buster Call, an attack by the Marines. This led to s fascination in piracy but he was scared to tell his mother as he was fearful of how should would react.

At the age of fourteen, Ahemed decided to ask for his mother's blessing to become a pirate. His mother would sit in silence before giving him a huge hug and patting his head, blessing his journey. She went down to the dock and paid for Ahemed's ship, and sent him off to achieve his dreams. In only a year, Ahemed found four more crew members and sailed all the way to the Grand Line, now currently sailing to raise his bounty.

In an unknown time shortly after setting sail, Ahemed decided to get a witch's assistance to change his appearance. The witch took a dead pirate's body and used an unnamed power to shift his appearance into that pirate to get rid of Ahemed's jealousy towards his brother. After getting his appearance shift, he decided to take up his older brother's nickname "Ro" to then meet his crew and explore more islands.

Plot[]

Phantom Fever[]

Ahemed's first appearance would be in Phantom Fever when he arrives at Dastardly Island, an island which is barren and abandoned. As he would complain loudly to himself, he would catch the attention of Parker Spen, a young man who still resides in the town. Spen makes fun of Ahemed and his hair, leading him to attack him, enraged. The two introduce themselves and prepare to battle each other. Ahemed starts off the battle by punching Spen and then slamming him into the ground before he glitches. This would surprise Spen who's confused by Ahemed's teleportation before being kicked into a house where Ahemed beats him ruthlessly. Spen would make a remark which would throw Ahemed off his game, leading him to be stabbed by Spen's trident ability, being cut directly through his chest.[3] Ahemed would stare into Spen's eyes with uncontrollable anger before being kicked in the chest multiple times by the fish-man and smacked with the bottom of the trident, being sent through the house's wall.[4] Spen would tease Ahemed but this would be cut short as Ahemed glitches and punches him with his Busoshoku-infused fist. Ahemed's enjoyment for the battle would kick in after punching Spen as he would tell him to unleash all his power as the fish-man races towards his enemy with intent to kill.[5] Spen reaches Ahemed and seemingly cuts him in half, but this wouldn't be true as Ahemed's Glitch Gusto would be used as he comes flying from the sky, crashing into Spen and destroying the ground below the two which causes a huge explosion sending them both flying back.[6] Ahemed lands on a house and sees Spen recovering with his trident in hand, using his "Triple Shark Arrows" impaling Ahemed in both of his arms. Ahemed is faced with a Spen who thinks he's triumphant yet this is where Ahemed's Indomitable Will kicks in as he glitches to Spen, knocking him into the sky. Spen attempts to use his Triple Shark Arrows once more but Ahemed shuts it down and kicks him into the jaw and out of the sky, creating a huge crack in the already unstable island.[7] Ahemed glitches to the ground and barrages Spen before finishing the battle with a Busoshoku infused punch which splits the island in half.[8] Ahemed would glitch to his ship and would teleport himself away from the coming destruction of the island as it explodes. Ahemed watches the explosion and Spen is still alive, racing towards Ahemed after using the explosion as a boost. Spen rushes towards Ahemed's ship and as he gets there, Ahemed punches him and ends the battle. Ahemed then wishes to meet Spen again and sails to his next destination, presumably where his crew is at.

Abilities and Powers[]

Physical Prowess[]

Strength[]

Ahemed has incredible raw strength, being labeled as the strongest member of his crew even without his Devil Fruit and Haki abilities. He is extremely physically in shape due to his training from his mother combined with the punishments inflicted on him by his father. He is able to lift huge weights despite his small stature, having incredible lifting ability to add-on to his punching strength. He is strong enough to shake off Parker Spen who is pretty heavy despite only being 15 and even lift him by his collar.[9] Ahemed's strength is so immense that he was able to knock a rage-boosted Spen into the ocean with just one punch.[10]

Speed[]

Ahemed has superhuman speed something that was gained from the constant speed exercises he did with his mother and the training of his legs since he was only seven from punishments by his father. He's so agile and fast that he can catch opponents off guard with his speed and is often mistaken as a user of the Rokushiki technique, Soru. Even without his natural speed, his Devil Fruit allows him to teleport and surprise opponents as he did when Parker Spen realized he was a Devil Fruit user.[11]

Durability[]

Ahemed is incredibly durable, something that is evident in his ability to get over to the Grand Line with no injuries, sickness, or even nervousness. He was able to take multiple attacks from Spen and even withstand a chest injury and two tridents in both his arms and was still able to push through it and defeat Parker Spen.[12] Even after the battle, Ahemed was able to transport his ship away even when he was bleeding and had almost lost full feeling in his arms.[13]

Mental Abilities[]

Willpower[]

Ahemed has the trait of "Indomitable Will", a trait seemingly passed down to him by his father. Ahemed's will only kicks in when he's near defeat and when he's almost at his limits. His will is so strong to the point where he can fight through nearly anything besides grave injuries and opponents who clearly outmatch him. His will manifests in the form of dancing and confidence, striking poses even when he knows he's at his limits. This was first shown during his battle with Parker Spen when he screams that he isn't beatable because he's the son of the man who could've been Pirate King before kicking his opponent into the air and winning the battle.[14]

Devil Fruit[]

Main Article: Guri Guri no Mi

Ahemed has incredible mastery over his Devil Fruit, using it multiple times during his battle with Parker Spen, outclassing the extremely powerful fish-man with his teleportation ability and his Busoshoku Haki. His immense mastery allowed him to escape the explosion of Dastardly Island and surprise Spen with a Busoshoku-infused punch by glitching himself to the fish-man.[15][16] Another example of his mastery of his fruit is when he escapes a fatal blow by dissipating himself into his glitch particles, then slamming into Spen's back, an attack that destroyed the ground below the two.

  • Glitch Gusto: Glitch Gusto is one of Ahemed's techniques with his Devil Fruit. This attack allows him to glitch himself similar to how a Logia user can turn their body into their element and slams down onto his opponent with his Busoshoku-infused fists. This was powerful enough to break the already cracked ground below him and his opponent, Parker Spen. He first used this technique during his battle with Parker Spen on Dastardly Island.

Haki[]

Busoshoku Haki[]

Ahemed has incredible mastery over Busoshoku Haki, incorporating it with his Devil Fruit powers and his already amazing physical strength. He can fully coat his arms in Busoshoku and has enough strength to destroy an entire medium-sized island with his constant punches and usage of his Haki. His punches with this type of Haki are so strong to the point where he was able to send an incredibly strong fish-man into a tree with just one punch.[17]
