Cubecaptor Suzuran is a Marine officer and the second-in-command of the Marine special forces unit Iron Curtain, serving directly under her superior Henry Benjamin. She is also the older sister of Umiyuri.
Having undergone a plethora of adventures during her career as a marine, Suzuran was first introduced under the rank of Commander (中佐,Chūsa?) on Sonar Island, having recently been promoted.[3] Following the discovery of the hidden treasure within Gold Axe Cove and arrest of Marx D. Garrison, she was promoted to the rank of Captain (大佐,Taisa?) for her efforts.[2] During Benjamin's leave of absence in the Iron Curtain, Suzuran temporarily took over as the commanding officer of the unit, acting as the leader and preforming various missions. Eventually, she was once again promoted, becoming a Commodore (准将,Junshō?).
