"Midas Fist" Wonder Romani, nicknamed Mani, is a member of the Dark Wing Revolutionary Army, being one of the Six Generals who oversees the New World division of the organization, recognized as the highest ranking members of the organization other than the Governor and Vice-General respectively. He hails from an unknown town in the North Blue but from his late child years to his middle teen years, Romani lived in Alabasta, being dropped off there as a young child.
Originally a child who was born to two Revolutionary parents, Romani was exposed to his parents' actions against the World Government. From a young age, he was made aware of the horrible actions committed by the Government, Marines, and the Celestial Dragons. He was set to inherit his father's title of Chieftain in his unnamed Revolutionary group, but tragedy struck. While settling on a small island near Alabasta to relax, the family would be cornered and attacked by multiple Marines. In one last ditch effort, Romani's father would grab the boy and his wife and would steer a smaller ship to reach the approaching kingdom. Sadly, Romani's father would be shot and killed along with the boy's mother, but not before he reached the desert kingdom.
As a young man, Romani grew up with a deep hatred for what he saw as what the Government caused to happen to his family. He trained for years in brawling, learning how to hold his own against even foes larger, smarter, and more powerful than him. He would leave Alabasta and met a man with black wings who was named Adish, and Romani was recruited into the Dark Wing Revolutionary Army.

As a Revolutionary from birth, Romani is a natural rebel of the general authority. He finds the Government to be nothing more than a scare tactic but understands the power they hold, keeping that in his mind to get even stronger. His knowledge of the Government is something he doesn't use lightly, often using it to assert his dominance due to his intelligence and knowledge of things. This often causes many others to rely and trust in his smarts, also being one of the supporting factors to why people follow him.
Romani is extremely nonchalant yet very respectful and nice to others. He is quite an introvert and often prefers to simply stay away from people, but does good when around them as well. He hates walking through crowds, giving speeches, or even talking at times when he doesn't need to. Despite his introverted nature, when he needs to stand up for what he believes is right, he'll step out of his shell and awaken his "Ultimate Revolutionary" persona.
While in his persona, he becomes extremely loud and refuses to allow anyone else to speak. He becomes quite quick with his words and snappy as well, giving off the aura of having an attitude. He becomes much more stern yet as his words flow from his mouth, they continue to inspire and ignite the burning passion within the person he's talking to. This persona has been simply formed due to wanting to be more like his father and mother, wanting to be brave and a liberation warrior just like them.
A natural born leader at heart, Romani is an extremely charismatic and inspiring individual. His strength happens to be a part of why he's followed so much, but on top of that, his other factors cause him to be followed as well. He has a habit of taking charge and overstepping at times, often jumping in.
He has quite a "hero complex", often feeling as if he has to protect and make sure everyone around him is safe. He feels as if he doesn't do this, he'll be a failure to the revolution and his comrades, two things that are extremely important to him. His protective aspect goes to extreme lengths as he would die for any one of his comrades. He feels as if dying saving a comrade would be the best way to go out as it continues the revolution and highlights what he stands for in his last moments of life.
Romani happens to be quite a master manipulator when it comes to business and battle at the same time. Over his journey, he was able to swindle an entire casino and claim it for his army due to his incredible manipulation abilities. He loves to attain exactly what him and his comrades want and refuses to ever let his army go without something they want. Despite this, he still makes the army work for what they have even though he loves to give them gifts and such.
Over the years after learning about the philosophy of justice, Romani wondered why pirates and revolutionaries don't have their own versions of justice. Upon realizing this, he formed a new justice that he dubbed "Revolutionary Justice", the belief of justice revolving around the freedom and eventual liberation of all people plagued by the crimes and horrible actions of the Government.
He has a unique laugh like many others, being "Kufufufufufufu!".
Abilities and Powers[]
Romani is not only a member of the Dark Wing Revolutionary Army, but is the commander over the entire New World division, meaning he controls and has full authority over those below him. Despite others relying on multiple different ways of fighting using Devil Fruits, racial traits, and so on, Romani fights with people with these abilities only using his sheer brawling prowess.
Not only does Romani possess a fighting style that is unique to himself only, he also possesses mastery in almost only this field of fighting. He sports very surprising fighting ability not only due to his physical build, but also due to the way he carries himself at times.
He stands alongside the Governor-General, Vice-General, his fellow Generals, and the Head Executives as the main and most powerful fighters within the Dark Wing Revolutionary Army.
Physical Abilities[]
Most people believe Romani has an obsession with his physical dominance, but he actually doesn't think much of it in retrospect. Despite being slim, he can still go toe-to-toe with others that are way bigger than him and boast larger physical strength. His entire fighting style has been formed around his incredibly hard yet quick and snappy punches, being near his idea of a perfected boxer.
He has honed other physical aspects of his as well, such as his speed, endurance, and durability. On Alabasta, he purposely found heavy material and trekked it from the hot deserts all the way back to his abode. He worked on his speed by racing pirates who would enter Alabasta, and further honed it following his recruitment of the Dark Wings.
Intelligence and Knowledge[]
Romani possesses a keen intellect and knows a lot of both interesting and truthful facts. This is due to his father and mother educating him on exactly what he needed to know, such as how bounties work, the Three Great Powers, and the strength the Government possesses. He is an above-average plan-maker but his real smarts apply to both fighting and the analyzing of emotions and situations.
He happens to be a master strategist as mentioned above, always being the standout when it comes to planning ahead for a battle. He uses any and everything to his advantage due to his awareness and intelligence on how to use the environment around him to fight against opponents. He often battles around where he feels is the safest and due to his smarts, he usually can lead an opponent exactly into one of his traps.
Fighting Style[]

Romani is the developer of the Unorthodox Midas, a mixed martial arts style that revolves around swift and surprising movements. Romani formed this style of boxing under the name of Golden Fist originally, but he later decided to change it to the Midas Style due to his love of the fairy tale of King Midas. His boxing training with both his father and himself caused him to learn how to fight and take hits incredibly well, using damage sustained to himself to open up his own opportunities in a battle.
His history as both a student of martial arts due to his father and a former boxer due to having to prize fight in underground arenas to earn money to buy ships have allowed him to advance this style. His incredible striking strength and speed allow him to battle without having to worry about his small frame compared to most of his other opponents.
Haki[]
In the New World, Romani learned Haki from a man on the older side, teaching him new tricks using both Kenbunshoku and Busoshoku Haki. As a user of Haki, Romani typically will use it in conjunction with his main fighting style.
Busoshoku Haki[]
Romani is an extremely adept user of Busoshoku Haki, so much so that his defensive capabilities are extremely surprising to witness. He possesses the ability to fully harden his body but often uses it to just fully manifest the black coated armor on his legs or arms instead of his full body. His Busoshoku coating appears like flames and takes on even a goldish tint.
Techniques[]
- Golden Buso Defense (ゴールデンブソディフェンス Gōruden Buso Difensu, literally meaning "Golden Armament Shield"): Focusing his full spiritual energy, Romani hardens both of his arms and his torso in his gold tinted Busoshoku Haki. As he continues to keep his body hardened, he focuses on nothing else but continuing to fight. This technique is mostly used to defend against heavy attacks.
- Busoshoku: Koka (武装色 硬化 Busō-shoku: Kōka?, literally meaning: "Color of Armaments: Hardening"): Romani uses Busoshoku Haki to harden his body, usually his arms.
