The Yurei Tribe is one of the World's many tribes, a race of ethereal-like humanoids almost akin to ghosts. While spread over the Grand Line, they are majorly found at the New World, also wherein their homeland is located, Fimbul.
They are first mentioned by Draco D. Damon as having beef with the Oni Tribe in The Pain and The Pleasure Arc.

Those raised under the Yurei customs may adopt some characteristic speech from them: the use of the suffix "-gosu" at some of their sentences.
Yurei, being adept over knowledge their own cold bodies, tie the concept of Haki to their breathing methods:
- Rei (霊, Rei?, lit. "Soul"), also translated with another meaning as "Breath", to the general idea.
- Ichijin Rei (一人気, Ichijin Rei?, lit. "One's Own Breath") for Busoshoku Haki, the spirit and breath work together to further manifest the latter as a physical force for themselves.
- Zenjin Rei (全人気, Zenjin Rei?, lit. "All's Breath") for Kenbunshoku Haki, for them, to breathe is to be alive, have intent, and they use this very connection to find others.
- Mujin Rei (無人気, Mujin Rei?, lit. "No One's Breath") for Haoshoku Haki, when exerting more of their own breathing, their presence, nobody else is to remain conscious.
